9 trapped in Telangana power station fire mishap

A major fire broke out in one of the underground hydel power units of the Srisailam project on Thursday night. The incident occurred at the fourth panel in the first hydel power unit of the left powerhouse at around 10.30 pm. About 15-20 persons were on duty at the time of the incident. While 15 staff came out immediately, nine reportedly were stuck in the powerhouse.

Hockey India's High Performance Director resigns

Hockey India's (HI) High-Performance Director, David John, has resigned from his post, sources told TOI. While the Australian has cited personal reasons behind his decision, sources say that the coach was "feeling left out" despite the Sports Authority of India renewing his contract until September 2021. Sources said John was lately also "not included in WhatsApp groups".
