Rising crude oil prices on Wednesday pulled down the sensex by 555 points to close at 59,190, weakened the rupee to near the 75-to-a-dollar level, a level not seen in the last six months and pushed up the yield on 10-year government bond to 6.28%, near to its 18-month high mark.
