CBI officers, who reached Bhaskar's residence at Pulivendula in two vehicles early Sunday, took him into custody. The arrest memo stated he was booked for murder, criminal conspiracy and destruction of evidence. A large number of YSRCP activists gathered at Bhaskar's home and led protests across Kadapa district. Shops were shut down in Pulivendula on Sunday.
